Shailerville Bridge is one of the scenic highlights on an already-scenic branchline. Here you'll see the highest bridge on the Valley Line, easily viewed from parallel Middlesex Turnpike (today's Rt. 154), and the Haddam Shad Shack - today pretty dilapidated, but thriving in the late 1940s. And a favorite stop of Valley Line crews.
